Collection: Basket Chandeliers

Harking back to 17^th century France, basket chandeliers were particularly common during the Federalist period because of their elegant style.  

Featuring a central ring which supports the branches, chains of cut glass are run to a smaller ring on top, creating a tent-like structure. There are two types of basket chandelier: the tent-and-waterfall and tent-and-bag. In a more modern take, armless basket chandeliers eliminate the branches and feature internal lighting only – creating a more simple, streamlined form.
